Herbal Pharmacy Workshop

August 19-21, 2022

If you are interested in learning more about herbal medicine and how to prepare your own remedies, join Todd Caldecott in person for a three day Herbal Pharmacy Workshop. Based on his 25 years of clinical experience, this workshop teaches you how to prepare your own remedies using a variety of medicinal herbs, including infusions, decoctions, pills, tinctures, percolations, medicated oils, salves, and more. Included is a comprehensive manual and preparation samples for you to take home. 

This workshop gives you a solid foundation to begin to experiment and create your own signature remedies once you’ve mastered what you’ve learned and allows you to say goodbye to expensive and environmentally toxic drugs and cosmetics, empower your health, the health of your family as well as your community with these vital, time-honored skills.

Herb Walk

May 29, 1pm, 2022

Did you know that at least a quarter of modern pharmaceuticals are derived from plants? Join medical herbalist Todd Caldecott on a herb walk in Wildwood, introducing you to and discussing the utility of a broad array of medicinal plants and fungi. This includes a garden tour of his many medicinal herbs and perennials, and a short herb walk to discuss a few important local species. Cost is $15.

Food As Medicine: In the Kitchen

April 2-3, 12-5pm

Come join Todd Caldecott in the classroom and kitchen for this weekend workshop exploring the power of using Food As Medicine. Part lecture and part practical demonstration, Todd will show you how to use specific foods and herbs to enhance your health, sharing secrets gleaned from 30 years of research, practice and clinical experience. Immerse yourself in the energetics of food, and step past the dietary dictocrats to get at the heart of what makes you tick. Learn how to eat strategically to meet your individual needs, how to prepare delicious, nourishing recipes, and how to make simple herbal remedies to keep you and your family healthy.

Learn Ayurveda! : 12 week LIVE program

Sundays, April 10 – June 26, 12-3pm

This program is a 12 week, 36-hour, advanced introduction into the theory and practice of Āyurveda. Topics reviewed include history, philosophy, physiology, consciousness, lifestyle, pharmacology and pharmacy, dietetics, disease, and principles of treatment. Digital learning materials are provided and a 612 page textbook is available. This course represents the first level in a larger, more comprehensive Ayurveda program that will be offered in qathet, that will include diagnostics, treatment, herbology, and massage.

This course is taught by Todd Caldecott, Dip. Cl.H., RH(AHG), CAP(NAMA), director of the Dogwood School of Botanical Medicine, author of Ayurveda: The Divine Science of Life, and editor of Ayurveda in Nepal. Todd has 30 years of experience in the field of Ayurveda, and has taught Ayurveda, nutrition, and herbal medicine both nationally and internationally to thousands of students.

The full cost for this program is $495. Students enrolled in the full Inside Ayurveda program are welcome to attend. For local students, a limited number of partial and full scholarships for local students are available.
