Description

As a disease, migraine has an ancient history, deriving its name from the Greek word ἡμικρᾱνίᾱ (imikrāníā), meaning “pain in half the skull”, similarly called ardhavabhedaka shiroroga in Ayurveda, referring to a “half-sided” (ardha) “painful” (avabhedaka) “disease of the head” (shiroroga). Up to 15% of the population suffers from migraine, and is a major cause of disability that doesn’t have many good options for treatment in modern medicine.

This live class will review the etiology, pathology, and treatment of migraine from a holistic perspective, reviewing the latest theories and practices from a medical perspective, nutritional and lifestyle factors, as well as its understanding and treatment from an Ayurveda, Chinese medical, and Western herbal perspective.

Students that register for this program can complete the associated assessment materials and earn a certificate that can be used to fulfill your professional CE requirements.

The live class runs on September 13 at 4pm Pacific / 7pm Eastern, and includes ongoing access to the recorded lecture when it becomes available.
